The Louisburgh Pantomime
now in it's third year took place on December 12th to
December |
14th in the Parocial hall. |
Written and directed by local man Noel Billington,
the show attained new heights with an emphasis on |
using local talent. The number of youngsters
in the production was amazing and their performance |
was full of enthusiasm. |
Without diminishing anyone's performances, I must
single out Jim Power as Abanaza and Des |
Grealis as Widow Twanky for great interpretations of
their roles and the way they delivered them. |
Both could have easily passed as West End Panto
stars. |
Another clever touch was The Skeleton played by Lara
Kerrigan who appeared as a dancing |
luminous skeleton would you believe. Very well
played Laura! |
Highlight of the show for me was the Chariot's of
Fire race to recover the dropped Magic Lamp. |
Jim Power's facial expressions were pure magic. |
